History

The other day Ez was enthralled by the photo albums at mom and dad's. Dad was always taking pictures . . . in fact his photos attached to big pieces poster board are a super fond memory I still hold to this day. There are many who would love to "just go back to the way things used to be." However, that just isn't possible.

JFK, on the very morning he was assassinated, said, "We would like to live as we once lived, but history will not permit it." Ephesians 5:16 challenges us to "Make good use of every opportunity you have, redeeming the time, because these are evil days." The God who was faithful then is the same God who is faithful today. The small plans and people may have changed, but God's big plan, the opportunities he provides, and his mercies are new every morning.

May we be able to look back, whether with photos or not, to days when we heeded God's call and made the most of the moments, big ones AND small ones, to redeem the time God has provided.
